What is SneakPeek® Clinical?
SneakPeek Clinical is an early gender DNA detection test offered to women starting at 9 weeks into pregnancy. An on-site phlebotomist draws a blood sample in the comfort of Cloud Nine, and then returns the sample to SneakPeek Labs for processing. The laboratories offer the fastest turnaround times in the industry, with a choice of receiving your result within one or two business days, once they arrive at the lab. The concierge style of service even includes an email directly to you to report your result.
How does SneakPeek® work?
SneakPeek utilizes the natural process of shared fetal DNA circulating inside the mother’s bloodstream. Our PCR technology has the ability to detect the presence or absence of male Y chromosome in the blood sample provided starting at 9 weeks into pregnancy. If it is detected then the baby’s gender is male and if it is not detected then the baby’s gender is female.
Where is the DNA Gender Blood Test performed?
The blood tests are conveniently performed at a scheduled time with a licensed phlebotomist or a Registered Nurse at Cloud Nine. This is a closed blood draw from the vein, providing higher accuracy then a finger prick blood test which has a chance of becoming contaminated.
When will I get my results?
The blood tests are shipped to the lab using USPS Next Day air. For Standard processing you will get the results the day AFTER the sample reaches the lab or you may opt to upgrade to Fast Track and get the results the same day the blood sample reaches the lab. (Provided that there are no shipping delays, Fast Track would provide next day results and Standard would provide 2 day results). You will receive the results by email.
Do I need an appointment?
Yes, an appointment is required and may be made by calling Cloud Nine at (423) 499-NINE (6463).
How Much Does it Cost?
SneakPeek Clinical Standard – $129 Clients will receive the results 2 business days from their appointment date.
